What Our Clients Say About Us
"ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL." We had SimplyCool install a new system out on our patio. It is absolutely wonderful!!! I can not say enough good things about it!!!!" "The SimplyCool system is fantastic, the way the water is distributed through the fans is perfect, not too much, not too little. You can be wearing glasses and not need wipers on them."
"...Absolute BEST decision we ever made." We finished up a huge landscape project with the SimplyCool system and it is by far the absolute BEST decision we ever made. We have a large outside living area that unfortunately faces the hot Tx afternoon/evening sun. We have tried other misting systems but everything got drenched in a short time. The SimplyCool system does not do that. We love having the ability to change the settings depending on the weather and our needs."
Frequently Asked Questions
The two most accepted mist applications are the misting line and the misting fan. The mist line is comprised of a series of misting nozzles in-line with one-another. This creates a curtain of mist which will cool the air. However a mist line relies on nature’s movement of air to cool the surrounding areas. A mist line is usually installed around a perimeter of a building or in an open (non-covered area). Mist lines will produce an ambient temperature drop of about 5-10 degrees. Mist lines work well in dry climates; they however are not as effective in humid climates. A Misting Fan utilizes “flash evaporative cooling”. By introducing a mist system into the front of a fan you are moving the mist (flash evaporation) over a larger more direct area, The air movement generated by the fan creates a wind chill which will lower temperatures by as much as 25 degrees. When trying to cool a humid environment the mist fan is much more effective than a mist line. SimplyCool specializes in the manufacturing of portable and mounted misting fans.
A low pressure mist system is based on using standard hose or tap pressure (30-60psi). Although inexpensive (Less than $500) they lack the key element that makes misting effective. These systems, which are typically sold in home centers and big box stores are also known for getting you and the environment “wet”. Without high pressure the water cannot be atomized into small droplets, which causes the cooling effect of “flash evaporation”. High pressure mist systems operate at 1000psi or more, thus enabling the water to be vaporized and ensures the driest and most effective cooling possible.
If properly designed and installed, a high pressure (1000 PSI) mist cooling system can be very effective for residential, commercial and industrial applications even in high humidity. Various geographical regions have specific summer weather inherent to their climate. When designing a system you must take into account the specific conditions associated with the area you are trying to cool. For example in arid conditions more water can accepted into the air than in a more humid environment. SimplyCool engineers can help in determining the proper water flow levels for your region.
SimplyCool products create, through high pressure, a very fine water misting vapor (or fog). As the fan blows air, the vapor completely flash evaporates. This action requires energy, which is obtained by drawing heat out of the air. The result is dramatically cooled air, reducing temperatures in the immediate area by up to 25° F (14° C), even in direct sunlight. Complete evaporation assures no wetting of people or environment. SimplyCool products simply attach to a fresh source of water, like a spigot with a garden hose or indoor faucet. Most cooling systems use a ‘misting’ system which doesn’t use our innovative high-pressure impeller nozzles, resulting in larger water droplets, which don’t evaporate. These basically end up spraying water onto everyone and everything.
Yes, high pressure pumps allow for the creation of a mist that will evaporate faster, without getting you wet. SimplyCools misting systems use high pressure pumps (1000 psi) and misting nozzles with very small holes (0.008″.) Very small misting holes require the high pressure pumps to expel water as a very fine, fast evaporating, mist or fog. Low pressure systems are not be able to expel water from very small holes, therefore large holes are necessary in the misting nozzles. The combination of low pressure and large misting holes results in large water droplets, which do not completely evaporate—this can often produce the appearance of “spitting” or “raining” upon people causing them to get wet. High-pressure systems use less water, compared to low-pressure systems with a similar nozzle count.
